Tapping into Calm: Sensory-Based & Somatic Stress Management Tools
Join us for a monthly workshop exploring body-centered approaches to stress management. Learn simple, free, in-the-moment self-help techniques designed to support relaxation, grounding, and awareness.
In these workshops, you’ll have the opportunity to experience and practice sensory-based, somatic tools such as:
-
Tapping
-
Breathwork
-
Stretching
…and more.
These tools can help you manage stress, cultivate mindfulness, and stay present—no prior experience or training required. We strive to offer all practices in a trauma-sensitive way.

- So glad this was offered at GT!
- The Tapping session was very informative and helpful.
- Thank you! It was very informative and fun.
- Thank you for offering this experience to the campus.
- Very simple techniques to practice (tapping, breathing etc) with great results in a short period of time. Fantastic!
- This was great, and I learned so much! I came in extremely angry after an argument and this helped me calm down quite a bit.
- This is definitely something I can apply to my daily living.
- I can’t wait to share this with my colleagues
- I feel TOTALLY reset. The experience has been tremendous.
- WOW ! Amazing
- That’s really interesting. It’s as if it provides a grounding wire to channel stress away…
- “This is the first time I’ve heard of tapping, but it is very relaxing and calming.”
- “Am sooooo relaxed.”
- “This is an experience that I never heard of, but it was wonderful! Thank you!”
- “I have been tapping for a few years. It definitely works. I haven’t tapped on my fingers though. This is awesome.”
- Perhaps beneficial to have a small visual reminder to place at my worksite? … sticker or small object, token? (<- GT community, We’ve got you covered! Please send a request to tapping@ece.gatech.edu with your campus mail code and we will send you some stickers ! )
