Havening Techniques®

Havening Techniques® is a set of tools that combines specific applied touch with mindfulness-based exercises. The term “Havening” refers to a method that enables individuals to create their own safe haven. These techniques are intended to support shifts toward a more regulated and balanced state of body and mind. When applied independently, the techniques are called Self-Havening®. In the ABC of Self-Regulation Tapping workshops offered across campus since 2020, participants may have encountered actions similar to Havening techniques.

A Few Student Reviews

1. “I felt my body relax and let out a huge sigh of relief almost immediately after we began Havening. We all could benefit from incorporating stress management practices, and this one is relatively “quick and easy” so I see a lot of value in it for students.  I would absolutely recommend.”
– GT CoB STAMP scholar, May 2022
